Margette's Knoll

On New Years Day, we went driving, and along with visiting the Blowholes, and the a couple of beaches, we went to Margette's Knoll. The view was amazing, approximately 300 meters / 1000 feet above sea level, we could see all the way down the east side of the island to South Point (The old town). Interesting in this photo you can see the lighter colored jungle which is an old mine site from the early 70's, after 40 years, it still has not grown full jungle over the scars of the mine. Also if you look closely to the photo, you may be able to see one of the roads we drove on on the lower left.
The number of birds we could see was amazing, they were cruising up and down on various updrafts as far as the eye could see, unfortunately the photos don;t show everything we could see.
You can also see the overcast weather conditions we have had for the last week, interetingly, doesn't matter if its overcast, or shining brightly, the temperature still remains a perfect 28 degrees every day.
