Farewell tea at CLA

One of the Doctors had finished his rotation, and was leaving the island, so we all went to the CLA, or Chinese Literary Association for tea. I am not sure why its called the Chinese Literary Association, as it seems to be a Chinese restaurant, and I didn't see any books anywhere round the place. The front door, as shown in the photo to the right is on the main road, theirs no footpath, you walk out the door, onto the road. Only on Christmas Island would this be allowed to happen :-)

The food is good and really cheap (compared with many places on the island, that can be very expensive.)

While were we their Zach had his first taste of tofu. Watch his reaction, its priceless.

  1. there used to be a self employed chinese cook at CLA earning under half a mil.a year(my sis class mate)when the casino was still running!when he wasn't working he would be at the casino tables, the dealers would be on his tables when he's working.what an irony...
